Oh, Romona, how do we even begin to describe your Fall 2014 bridal collection? We’d go with “flawless” for a start but we’ll throw in another adjective for good measure… romantic. As in lace-filled, sepia-toned, ultra-feminine romantic. Titled “Lace through the Decades”, the Fall 2014 Romona Keveza Collection is luxurious, sophisticated and timeless. It also marks a continued exploration of fashion through time, a theme which premiered in Keveza’s Spring 2014 collection.
The line takes us on a sartorial journey through different periods in the fashion timeline, from the 1900’s to today and beyond. Each gown features a different type of lace and with it, a unique story using icons characteristic of the decade (from the New York Heiress, to the Gibson Girl and the Gatsby Socialite). A corseted bodice of re-embroidered French lace finished with a dramatic mermaid tulle skirt, above style RK578, is the embodiment of 1930’s Silver Screen Siren. The delicacy of the 1960’s Ingénue is channeled through a sleeveless gown featuring soft Chantilly lace illusion neckline and diaphanous overskirt, below, style RK581.
Style RK576 pearl beaded corset strapless gown.
Style RK577 Chantilly lace sleeveless mermaid gown.
Style RK584 strapless gown made of organic crystal beaded lace.
Stunning!
