We don’t need any convincing when it comes to featuring Tony Ward’s creations, but his 2016 “Abstract Roses” bridal collection is really quite special. The multiple representations of roses in abstract paintings were the inspiration behind his latest bridal collection, and it is without reservation that we declare these incredible gowns “Works of Art”:
“The construction found in nature’s wonders, its endless shapes and figures fed the couturier’s imagination and led him to create a collection where rich fabric and shimmery splashes of embroidery add a royal feeling to the intertwining and graphical natural forms.”
“Tony Ward’s gowns are all about Architecture and the way they highlight the lines of the wearer’s body. A number of independent elements came together to create these well-proportioned and sophisticated looks. Romantic ball gowns designed for majestic entrances with draped bodices and full Tulle skirts finished with scalloped hems reside side by side with deep-V necklines that follow the lines of the body to produce a “molded” effect.
Tightly fitted bodices emphasize the midriff where floral embellishments add flavor, texture, and individuality to the simple, structured forms. Richly embroidered strapless bodices and slim A-line skirts give a three-dimensional feel with a decidedly modern edge.”
