“Influenced by the luminescent cuts of precious gem stones, Annasul Y.’s Bridal Collection for 2016 captures the unique craftsmanship of diamantaires, transforming them into polished bodily forms for the brand’s collection.
A highlight is a body-hugging gown layered with transparent, diagonally-cut lace, creating the illusion of diamond facets on the body. The gem stone cut design continues on the lower half where overlapping geometric lace shapes simulate glowing, radiating forms.
A distinctive feature of the collection is the ‘Beading Patchwork’ process where the upper body of the gown is crafted to resemble the luminous cut facets of a diamond. The distinct geometric style is contrasted with the free-flowing dress, while at the same time, retaining a highly individualistic approach.”
