Some wedding dresses from Claire Pettibone’s Rock n Roll Bride 2009 collection. Some of the pieces in the collection are very interesting and as the name suggest the style will please edgier romantics, those looking for a hippie/boho chic alternative or anyone who have a little bit of rock n’ roll in their blood.
Pretty dress in beaded ribbon tulle with applique At the back of the dress is a huge lavender rose.
Ecru gown with exotic details. Beautiful gold embellishment at the back pops out on the otherwise pale beige dress.
The same dress on a model. On the right is a rough sketch of how the same dress would look like with sleeves.
This is a very interesting looking dress. There’s a lot going on! Champagne color satin base for the top and sash with ribbon tied at the back and lots of embroidered vintage lace details all over. Oh and a flower on the chest. It’s a bit difficult to see from the image below, but the bottom part is see-through, which, when worn looks really…rock n roll? Image worn by model on runway after this…
Here’s the same dress worn on a model. The color don’t look as champagne-y as the top one but maybe it’s the lighting (or maybe it’s a white version) See what I mean by see-through? You can totally see her legs, behind the embroidered details. It’s an interesting look. Time for another remix! How about full lining for the skirt? Which look do you prefer? I thought the outfit will look nice without the bottom altogether but the getup is actually a blouse worn over a strapless gown.
