For the Spring 2014 collections, Anne Barge was inspired by the romance of the past. But while the notion of dreamy, pastel-tinged days pervaded (think Claude Monet’s gardens at Giverny), we love how the dresses are kept fresh with contemporary silhouettes adorned with feminine accents — delicate lace on straps and necklines, form-fitting beaded bodices and sheer flounces on skirts. Refined and elegant, there are gowns for both rustic vintage style weddings and chic city receptions. Above, Acacia strapless gown featuring corset of pearl beaded Chantilly lace accented at waist with pearl silk organza shirred cummerbund and mermaid skirt with cascading silk organza ruffles.
