It doesn’t take a genius to understand why the bridal world is smitten with pastels. Sweet, romantic and the color of Instagram-ready macarons, the gentle, creamy tones of pale green and cameo pink are as dreamy as weddings should be. Add a bit of sparkle and shine, and the result is whimsical magic.
The Golden Touch Wedding Inspiration Board
Wedding Invite: Wedding Paper Divas | Wedding Dress: Monique Lhuillier | Place Setting Photo: Millie B Photography | Cake: Nine Cakes via Martha Stewart | Cupcake Flags: Picket Fence Confections | Painted Mason Jars: Beach Blues | Gift Tags: Wedding Paper Divas | Bridesmaids Dresses: J.Crew | Invitation Card: Wedding Paper Divas
The starting point for this inspiration board came from two foil-stamped invitations by Wedding Paper Divas.
“Stunning Silhouettes” shown in Sea Glass with Gold foil and Bloom with Rose Gold foil
“Stunning Silhouettes”(shown above), with its mint floral frame and rose gold accents provided the color inspiration. Blush and mint are such beautifully feminine colors, but when you add gilded touches to the equation, you get a magically opulent palette that would make a Marie Antoinette movie set designer proud.
The second invite, the cashmere pink “Elegant Exchange” (shown below, in white), comes with this lovely line, punctuated with gold foil lettering, inspiring us to add warm, vintage elements to the style board:
“because you have believed in us, celebrated with us, loved and encouraged us we invite you to join us as we exchange marriage vows”
Now, doesn’t that sound like a party that you would love to attend?

Incorporating Gilded Accents into a Pastel Palette
Try different shades of gold or silver to see how the colors work with your chosen base scheme. Here we used copper foil with a beige base, gold with pale green, rose gold with pink and lilac with silver.
“Rustic Wreaths” wedding invitation cards shown in Almond, Aloe, Chenille and Sheer Lilac
