The 2017 Lusan Mandongus Bridal Collection takes inspiration from nature’s fireworks, mysterious meteor showers that have captivated mankind over the centuries. Following through the celestial theme of 2016’s Milky Way-inspired collection, the new lineup of heavenly wedding dresses captures the vastness of space and the lush drama of ever-changing planets and stars as they light up the dark abyss of space. The collection was presented against a backdrop of shooting meteors and fluttering butterflies at the recent Si Sposaitalia Collezioni fashion show.
“An exquisite lace pattern is specially designed to reflect the sensual intergalactic motions, as sparkling beading lends weight as rich, shining meteors. Linear and vortex-like patterns are captured in the designs, while an attached cape accentuates the concept of volume and movement…. As for silhouettes, the classic mermaid dress is still the key, and A-line and ball gowns cuts also featured prominently, with subtle layers of tulle and lace, creating elegant, flowing contours… the mysterious cosmos bring awe and starry imaginations of the universe, evoking timeless beauty and the sublime.”
