For the Fall 2019 “Alegria” couture bridal collection, we’ve been transported to a realm where Portugal’s romantic Latin culture and regal splendor exist as magnificent works of wearable art. Get ready for a spectacular visual feast!
NEVIS is entirely hand embroidered in a custom made pansy floral design specifically created for this look.
ALEGRIA — Portuguese for happiness — is Galia Lahav’s spirited ode to the beauty and charm of Portugal, renowned for its distinctive azulejo tiles and rich traditions. As the collection name suggests, the concept of joy is also a key inspiration for Fall 2019:
“Our perception of ALEGRIA, or happiness, is the first sight of a beautiful new bride on her wedding day carrying a flawless smile.”
Consequently, designers Galia Lahav and Sharon Sever fashioned every element of the collection to set the stage for the bride to positively shine: from the color palette – silver, blush and dusty rose, reminiscent of the azulejos — and the sensational royalty-inspired beadwork; to the one-of-a kind silhouettes and exquisite, complementary accessories. In other words, ALEGRIA is bursting with gorgeous wedding gowns with incredible detailing.

One of the focal points this season? Exceptional embroideries that highlight the bodices, backs and sleeves of all the gowns. Nevis is entirely hand-embroidered in a custom-made pansy motif, while the glitzy mermaid gown Estelle, sparkles with hand-embroidered floral accents atop a beaded fishnet base. The regal Fabiana is a true showstopper that features 3D floral embellishments throughout its ball gown silhouette.

ESTELLE, a sheer mermaid dress made entirely of sparkly beaded fishnet with beaded fringe details and hand embroidered floral accents.
FABIANA. This voluminous 3D ballgown features a sheer corset top and scoop neckline, with a full skirt made of embroidered tulle and further adorned with 3D floral embellishments.
And speaking of breathtaking ballgowns, the styles in ALEGRIA will make your heart skip a beat! From the modern chic Querida, which features embroidered appliques and stunning side cutouts, to the glamorously seductive Magdalena, and the classic with a twist, Solange.
QUERIDA. A voluminous ballgown featuring a plunging v corset top with sheer cutouts, this unique blush dress is made of silk tulle with embroidered appliqués throughout.
SOLANGE. This sparkly off-the-shoulder ballgown features a deep v corset top made of delicate embroidered french lace. The skirt is made of embroidered tulle with small 3D silk petal motifs.
MAGDALENA. A corset ballgown with a luminous high slit skirt. Made entirely of silk tulle with small embroidered sparkly sequins, this dress is highlighted by a metallic belt and a hand embroidered 3D flower at the waistline.
We are obsessed with dramatic sleeves, and these new Galia Lahav wedding dresses feature some of the most unique sleeves, EVER. Styles range from the extravagant -- like the detached balloon sleeves on Camilla -- to the delicately elegant, as seen on the illusion sleeves on Nissa. Made of clouds of pleated silk tulle in shades of ivory and blush, the uber romantic Bellina, which comes with billowy off-the-shoulder sleeves, represents the most whimsical look of the collection.
BELLINA. A dramatic ballerina ballgown made of pleated silk tulle in shades of ivory and blush, this look features an embroidered embellishment at the bust and wrap around off-the-shoulder sleeve design.

AMANI. This glamorous fitted mermaid dress features a plunging V neckline and a
drop low back. This dress is made of delicately embroidered French lace with scalloped motif accents styled throughout and features a silver and ivory hand embroidered strap detail along the neckline.

AIDA, a regal satin corseted ballgown with sweetheart neckline, made of Mikado silk with deep box pleats and fully adorned with 3D micro-bead embroidery
