Savage & Hunt is founded by Sarah Henry Savage, an American couture fashion designer based in London and Boston. The designer recently debuted her Fall 2025 bridal collection in New York, offering elegant, luxurious designs that are timelessly romantic:
“Savage & Hunt’s first bridal collection is an exciting landmark. For me, designing always starts with a cinematic story, one that moves me and ignites my imagination. However, bridal wear is more than just a fantasy; it reflects the wearer’s real-life story. For modern women, wedding dresses have become deep personal statements about individuality.”
“A wedding gown today must not only be a timeless symbol adorned for generations, but also resonate with the era in which it is worn. Ironically, this dichotomy led me to look at history, focusing on women who defined female modernity during their own eras, from British royal rebels like Queen Elizabeth I and Princess Diana, to trailblazing novelist like Charlotte Bronte, Jane Austen, and Louisa May Alcott. The fashion of their times – Victorian, Regency, and the gothic opulence of the Elizabethan era – shapes this collection, along with hints of Medieval romance derived from English and Scottish scenery and heritage. While the inspiration is largely historical, the collection features modernized and streamlined silhouettes to complement the wearer’s figure. We’ve used draped silk, textiles of luscious velvet, charmeuse, duchess satin, faille, and endless yards of silk tulle and organza on corseted construction, adding embellishments such as delicate layered laces, crystal trim, pearlescent paillettes, and 3D Lily of the Valley with tiny silver beads. Bold necklines and sculpted bustlines ground the decadence of this collection, evoking grandeur romance, and a sense of empowerment.”
