A serving of muted pastels on display on the runway of Elie Saab 2010 Spring/Summer Haute Couture fashion show in Paris. A delicately beautiful collection.
That dress on the right, the cafe au lait in swirling motion color is simply delicious.
Were the colors inspired by watercolor paintings? These dresses with painterly prints seem to say so.
A lavender one shoulder lace dress showing lotsa thigh. Color looks a bit drab here but this dress may be one of those that you have to see in real life to appreciate.
Interesting scallop texture on the off-shoulder blue dress (seen on Aishwarya Rai at the Cannes Film Festival 2010). If a couture dress cost $200,000 and I start saving now, I can get married oh.. in two hundred and fifty year’s time? Where’s a billionaire when you need one?
This pale vintage rose dress is similar to the purple one above.
This one is a standout for me. The pale sea blue color is delectably gorgeous.
I like the sleeves on the shorter dress on the right but I would love it even more if it were a long dress.
Which brings us to this Wedding Inspirasi remix. Combining what I like from the above two dresses - the sleeves from the short dress + the long fit n flare skirt we have here (one of) my dream Elie Saab wedding gown. Created a version in white too.
Ok, we'll end with a real Elie Saab wedding dress. Love the headgear and veil.
