The Award Season is here and it’s time to look at the red carpet for a bit of wedding dress inspiration! Here are some of our favorite trends and looks from he 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Jewel tones, sandy hues, neon brights, and more than a couple of long sleeves were seen on celebs this year.
Jewel Tones
We absolutely adore Angelina Jolie’s sparkly long sleeve emerald green Atelier Versace long sleeve gown and Anne Hathaway’s coppery Armani Prive backless gown with puff sleeves. Just perfect! Olivia Wilde in a strapless sequin dark chocolate Marchesa ball gown was stunning (worn with gold Christian Louboutin heels!), as was Mila Kunis in a one-shoulder draped emerald gown by Vera Wang. Green was also the color of choice for Catherine Zeta-Jones, who wore a strapless Monique Lhuillier gown and Elisabeth Moss, who was in a deep green Donna Karan number.
Nude – Barely There Colors
At the other end of the spectrum, pale, sandy shades were also a hit on the red carpet. Sandra Bullock in light pink embellished Jenny Packham one shoulder gown , Leighton Meester in beige printed Burberry Prorsum dress with long sleeves, Scarlett Johansson in a nude Elie Saab gown with cape sleeves, Dianna Agron in off-white pleated beaded strapless gown with peplum from J. Mendel.
Solid Color
These ladies show how an unembellished dress in a single color (like white!) can outshine even the most spangliest of creations. Claire Danes in neon pink Calvin Klein halter gown, Emma Stone in fluorescent coral Calvin Klein cap sleeve, backless dress, Eva Longoria in a black mermaid cut Zac Posen dress, Lea Michele in a powdery pink Oscar de la Renta one shoulder ruffle gown.
